Oluwadamilola Amolegbe is the Project Director for Dar Al-Awqaf Foundation. She is a highly networked entrepreneurial, fashion, culture and institutional programme producer. In addition to being a seasoned print and online editorial director.
She founded HauTe Fashion Africa Magazine in 2006 with a successful transition to becoming the 1st African Fashion Website HauTeFashionAfrica.com, which has become the one-stop portal for everything on African Fashion.
She is the former Editorial Director of Hi-Publishing; a subsidiary of Hi Media Limited, creating the publication, Hi Magazine. The magazine worked with prominent Nigerian icons from Asa, Jayjay Okocha to Olu & Joke Silva – Jacobs, Supermodel Oluchi & Nigerian Social Entrepreneur, Nike Oshinowo in its 34-month run.
Wadami as she is fondly called has garnered a lot of respect amongst her peers in the industry and has gained recognition in reputable publications such as The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Financial Times on African Fashion to name a few. in 2016 she officially founded, W. Amolegbe Consulting – a Global Management Consultancy with its core focus on Advisory, Consulting and Project Management across all industries. In October 2017, she became Editor of ContentNigeria.net, a joint venture between C21Media and ThinkTank Media and Advertising – as a client of ‘W. Amolegbe Consulting, Content Nigeria publishes news, features and comment articles for and about the local TV market. She later launched HFA TV, Haute Fashion Africa’s linear TV Network on Nigerian Pay TV. She is a part of various charity organizations including being on the board of Reach Nigeria and a member of Okeya-ipo 100.
The foundation strongly believes that mosques should go beyond praying grounds; it should also be a place to build moral standards, enhance spiritualism and intellectual erudition. Dar Al-Awqaf Foundation is also passionate about human capacity development, thereby striving to make every mosque conducive to accommodate these responsibilities.
